The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a bid from seven attorneys who brought a lawsuit alleging fraud in Michigan during the 2020 presidential election to overturn sanctions handed down by a federal judge for their role in the “frivolous” legal action.

On Monday, April 15, the high court denied a rehearing request from the group of lawyers, including former Donald Trump attorney Sidney Powell, who vowed to overturn the 2020 election results through a national movement she and other conspiracy theorists referred to as releasing “the Kraken.”
