American figure skater Alysa Liu becomes the first U.S. women’s singles figure skater to win a world title in 19 years after competing at the world championship in Boston on Friday. Liu’s major comeback comes after she took two years off from the sport and retired at the age of 16. She’s now on track for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
